The importance of forgiveness – help for depressed
Many time when people say they are depressed, the reason behind is relational problems. To forgive someone that has hurt me is a basic Christian belief but can sometimes not that easy to follow. Today we have a lot of broken families and broken relations and it can be hard to stay away from unforgiveness, bitterness and maybe even hatred some times.
But it can not be emphasized enough, the importance of forgiveness. It is a way for healing help for depressed but also other areas in life that need intervention from God.
There are thousands of stories from Christians that have been hurt by someone and that have refused to forgive. They can tell about how it seemed like every prayer for healing and restoration didn’t give any kind of result until the finally decided to forgive the one who have been hurting them.
When they did, many testify about instant miracles, healings and help from God. It is like the unforgiveness has stopped the divine flow in their life. They could not experience the power of God until they decided to give.
And this is a biblical spiritual law. If we forgive, God will forgive us and nothing can stop our prayer anymore! That counts just not for physical healing, but also when you want to be free from depression.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
(Mat 6:14-15 KJV)
